Service Description

This class will take roughly 6-8 hrs. We aim to teach the basics of sewing a pair of pants, specifically the jean. Materials will be provided, notions like buttons, thread and zippers. As well as sewing machines, scissors and patterns. When purchasing this class, you will provide your inseam and waist measurements so we can have your pattern ready for you. A quick stroll through the histories of denim, jeans, and their impacts on not only American style, but worldwide cultural impacts. Then we lean into the sewing basics from pre production on through the final hemming and inspection. After the theory portions are complete, we will get started on cutting out our patterns and assembly! At the conclusion of the class, you have now made a wonderful pair of raw denim jeans for you to take home and be the envy of your friends and family. I mean, who else do you know that can say they've made the jeans they're wearing?
